I have very long thin hair and i need some volume..any suggestions?

I have long thin hair and i only have one way of doing my hair....i recently bought a chi straightner ,which i love but now im gettin bored with just the straight look...i want some volume ..some thickness...how can i make my hair do such that??!?!?!?

put your hair in curlers!

wavy hair will add a ton of volume, especially if you pair up curlers (large ones to make it loose) with curl defining cream.

also use volumising shampoos such as sunsilk.

don't straighten your hair so much either it will make it look even thinner.

try blow drying your hair, it will poof it a little but make it nice and voluminous looking.

oh and layered hair will look good, and you can also get some highlights put in to add texture.

Blow dry at the roots of your hair, also if you put hair spray around the crown, it will give it more volume. You could also try a new hair cut with lots of layers, that's always fun.

i have the same long, thin hair that i usually straighten, so i understand. one thing that i really like is Redken Thickening Lotion. you can get it at salons, and it really is just like lotion-it comes out in a pump. you put it on damp hair and then blow-dry your hair upside down. if you really use your fingers to rough up your hair while drying it helps too. this is THE BEST product i've ever used to volumize my hair (and trust me, i've used about every product there is!).

try to french braid it when damp and you will get some help when you take it down when it is dry (over night) and try a full volume conditioner, and as little other hair junk as you can. mine is very long (mid thigh)and very silky so is look thinner than it is.

Getting long layers would help. You can also just get long layers in your crown area. Try volume control products applied at the roots of your hair. Flip your head upside down and blow dry on medium heat low air. Use you fingers and pick it up at the scalp while drying.You can also use a wide tooth comb and back comb at the roots to give lift.I have heard of people putting a pony tale on top of their head when it is wet and sleeping with it like that over night. Make sure you are using a shampoo for thin hair, sometimes the products you use will weigh your hair down.

FYI long soft "S" shape curls are in. Held with headbands and clips.

BUT LOTS MORE VOLUME.

IF I USE HAIR GEL AND BLOW MY HAIR DRY UPSIDE DOWN AND AND USE

HOT ROLLERS YOU WOULD THINK I HAVE REALLY THICK HAIR..

SO MUCH WORK

SOME DAYS I JUST USE LARGE BARREL CURLING IRON SPRAY THEN SCRUNCH

cut bangs in a daigonal line no shorter the you nose on one side and get a perm at least once a month or every other if u dont want ta spend nuch money on ure hair and cut out straighting ure hair....its going to dry out soon

instead of straightening ur hair get a blow dryer that comes with an attachable comb that you can put at the end and while ur blow drying it it will make it straighter it will add lots more volume and i t is healthier than straightening
