THIN HAIR; help! =(?

my hair is so thin/fine. it sticks to my face %26amp;theres really not much too it especially since my hair dresser decided to give me a bunch of random layers at the top %26amp;none at the bottom. what should i do for volume? any really good products? blowdrying upside down does nothing for it.

thank you so much in advance to anyone who can help.

THIN HAIR; help! =(?

it doesn't help when you use shampoos that have a ton of ingredients in it to weigh it down, if you have an organic store in your area, look for aubrey organics! not only will it help with it being fine, it will gently cleanse your hair! and it won't weigh it down! you do need layers at the bottom so it won't your hair down, go to a different hair stylist next time and see if that works! and make sure you do ask for layers at the bottom, too much weight will bring it down!

THIN HAIR; help! =(?

Go to a Walgreens or some store like that.....i saw a commercial for a new shampoo that comes in a pink bottle and makes hair thicker and shinnier! Good_Luck!

THIN HAIR; help! =(?

Bed head has some good products. They are not to expensive. I would use "Superstar Thick Massive Hair" - Good Product....

When your blow drying your hair section it of it 4 sections (1. Crown. 2. Each Side. 3. Back) Start in the back and blow dry it with a round brush pushing your hair up at the root then going down the shaft. Do your entire head this way then when you are done and your hair is dry.

Take a bit of hairspray and spray it on you roots (use the blow-dryer to give it a blast of warm air) keep the brush under it to create the volume. Let it cool for a minute and then move on. You will have great body.

Another tip also is to buy a teasing comb. Tease your hair a bit that will also help keep the volume as long as you do everything else.

THIN HAIR; help! =(?

Try "Pantene Style root lifter volumizing spray gel" in wet hair then try doing the upside down blow dryer thing. If it still doesnt work then find some big rollers that won't wrap around your hair more than twice (otherwise you'll get a curl then) put them in leave them in for as long as possible then take them run your fingers through it and your done! hope this works for you.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I have thin hair, and I am afraid it is falling out faster than it should. The thing is, I have fairly long hair, so when my hair falls out I think it might just be that its more noticable (it gets tangle in the brush easier). I probably notice it more as it gets long (I once had my hair REALLY short). I also have dandruff problems. I help the dandruff by occassionally rinsing my hair with shampoo, then putting shampoo in again and leaving it in for a while, then washing it out. It really helps!

I want to know what else I can do to prevent my hair from thinning (if it is), or to maybe make it thicker and fuller. And what else I can do to prevent dandruff. Without damaging my hair! (I am proud of my hair!)

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Use V05 hair Shampoo and dandruff remover.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

You need proper hair care for that read some hair care tips and articles on this site

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

you need a good multi vitamin or maybe a prenatal

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

i have thin hair too and all u have to do is use the head and shoulders dandruff shampoo because it does work because this guy gave me dandruff so i used it. it'll work and u can that trick thing with leaving the shampoo in. also i have a way to make ur hair smoother and shiner! ^ ^

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Olive Oil. Truly, I'm not making this up. Once a week, coat your hair in olive oil until it is positively googy. Wrap it in a towel and go to bed, in the morning shampoo the oil out. To help with tangles take a spray bottle and spritz a tiny bit of oil on the tangle. Key word here is tiny. Also, use a comb (not a brush) on wet hair. Start at the ends of your hair to gently work out tangles. Hope this is useful.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

As yuki as it might sound, lemon will help you get rid of the dandruff. What you have to do is cut up a fresh lemon, and rub it in your hair by parting it. Let it stay in your hair for 30 minutes and then wash it. Repeat this till you see it helping. And another thing, when you're going to stay home, message your scalp with baby oil, that way the acid in lemon would not damage your hair, and would be a good remedy.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Dandruff can be from different reasons.

One could be dry flaky skin, but I do not believe this is your problem. Leaving shampoo on your head would probably aggravate this condition. Since you said it helps I believe you may have a build -up on your scalp from styling products.

Use a clarifying shampoo for 3 days, then your regular shampoo after wards, but use clarifier at least 1 a week.

You may want to change your styling products. I always suggest Paul Mitchell products because they leave no build-up.

To help with thinning; DO NOT use a brush when your hair is wet, always use a pick or wide tooth comb and always start at the ends of your hair working your way up to the scalp, also section hair, smaller sections less tangles.Only when the hair is completely dry should you use a brush, and then I suggest a vent brush.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I don't know your age, but I recently read that sometimes loss of hair can be caused by a medical condition. You may want to see a dermatologist just to make sure.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

spend the money and go see a dermatologist, he will answer all your questions and be right

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I hope this helps you but yeah, have a look at my say.

Well the results of hair falling could be your hair is too long.

Because when your hair grows really long, the minerals from the roots of your hair that helps keep your hair wavy and alive, doesn't have the strength to reach down that low to the tip of your hair.

And I personally once had alot of dan druff, but I just used those kinds of shampoo that were made for dandruff.

So basically my tips for -

Hair falling - Keep your hair in a fair length, not so long that it'd hang all the way down your back. Keep it maybe 2 or 3 inches beneath your shoulder. It won't look so bad :-)

Dandruff - Wash your hair with dandruff shampoo.

But not every single time though, maybe the first day use dandruff shampoo, second day use regular, and so on.

It'll help, it worked fine for me :-)

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

every 40 days cut a little last part of ur hair n always drink lots of water n use a wooden comb to comb ur hair with ... try to use the brush a little

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

Well, I'll advice u to definately change ur shampoo first of all! Also, u should start using natral hair care products they're way better than the other ones! Um, try to wash your hair everyday or everyweek, and please please, wrap it before you go to sleep! If these hepls, write me back, or if u need more tips, u could ask me, or ur hair stylists!

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

I like Nizoral, expensive but it works. Condition well. The right cut can add thickness and body. Also eat well and take care of your body in general. If it seems like you have a more serious problem a good dermatologist can be helpful.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

use a wash made of rosemary water.

ROSEMARY WATER

How to make rosemary water:

4 cups water

1 cup dried rosemary

First you must have a sterile earthware pot or a enamel pot. Anything else will cause the rinse to become harmful. So bring water to a boil using your enamel or earthware pot. Once its boiling and ready add your dried herb. Let it steep for about 10-15mins. Strain herb out. Set water aside to cool. Once cooled, bottle in clean and dried glass container. Store in a cool place. Use when ever you wish to get rid of dandruf. Not only will it get rid of dandruf and keep it away but it will also keep your hair smelling great.

DAMAGED HAIR

You can use mayo, yes as in mayo for sandwiches. Use it when going to bed. Wrap your hair with wrap and in the morning rise it out. Infusions of olive oil work too. If your too lazy to make it go to your local store and buy oil conditioners and use as directed.

Ps. Rosemary might dry out your hair if you use too much. Use twice a week. Add rose oil and mint to help with damaged hair.

What can I do to prevent thin hair and dandruff without damaging my hair?

use head%26amp;shoulder shampoo and conditioner....

my hairs use to be like yours

Thin hair need help!!?

Ive colored my hair a lot and its now became thin and brittle any one know great product that can thicken my hair??? plz help i hate it!!!

Thin hair need help!!?

leave the color grow out, but in the meantime just try volumizing products. that should help. when it starts growing, it'll get stronger hopefully. until then, there's not much you can do.

Thin hair need help!!?

get volumizing shampoo i recomend herbal essences or sunsilk or i recomend dove restoritive shampoo for the brittleness also pantene would work well

Thin hair need help!!?

Nioxin is a great shampoo for thin and brittle hair. You can pick it up at most beauty supply stores...it's a little more expensive than shampoos sold at a drugstore/Wal-Mart, but it truly works. I wouldn't waste my money on Sunsilk or Herbal Essences or whatever else was recommended--Nioxin is the only thing that really helps thicken your hair back up.

Thin hair need help!!?

3 times in the week. In the night, put Olive oil in your head and massage then wash out in the morning.. it will help your hair to grow and healthy. Moreover, use those shampoos that make hair strong. Don't shampoo everyday it make hair week... Take Vitamin A. Good Luck.

Thin hair need help!!?

use do gro it really works so well and you can feel it growing

Thin Hair, help?

I have noticed that my hair is very thin. I know I'm not going bald, but the thinness of my hair is causing my scalp to show through more than I would like.

It shows badly particularly when theres a light shining on my head.

Is there anything I can do?

Thin Hair, help?

Are there signs that you're losing an excessive amount of hair when you wash or brush it, or has it always been thin? If you're getting a lot of fallout, you might want to see your doctor. Maybe you've been under a lot of stress or eating a poor diet, or even taking some medicines that can cause hair loss. If your hair is just naturally thin, try a blunt cut on the ends to make it look thicker, and use a volumizing gel after you shampoo. If you do have a serious hair loss problem, your doctor or dermatologist can prescribe various things to increase the growth. Maybe you just have a hormone imbalance, which is easily corrected. Good luck!

Thin Hair, help?

no

Thin Hair, help?

There is a shampoo I'd recommend trying . .. it's called Nioxen you can get it in a beauty salon or beauty supply store. I know it works because many of my family members use it as well as me (but i use it to help cleanse thoroughly)

Thin Hair, help?

no theirs not really anything you can do for it right now. but i would recommend taking vitamins and maybe a special vitamin just for hair and see if that helps your hair get thicker and stronger. i would also recommend eating healthier and stuff. good luck.

Thin Hair, help?

I don't know how long your hair is or your age, but one way to make this perhaps more chic for you is braids and lots of them, being especially careful when you do them not to promote more hair damage. A girlfriend of mine after trying countless products like rogaine started doing this and now she won't live without her braids.

I have kinda thin hair meduim length how often should i get it cut if i want to grow it out?

I let my hair grow over the summer and got it cut right before school started and they cut like 2 inches off!! how often should i get it cut if i want to grow it out. (because if you go like every 3 months they cut like a zillion inches off) P.S i dont want to never get it cut because then its look shaggy and ratty.

I have kinda thin hair meduim length how often should i get it cut if i want to grow it out?

every 2 months but specify to your hairdresser how much you want cut off.

I have kinda thin hair meduim length how often should i get it cut if i want to grow it out?

well the hair grows 1 cm per month ...and people recomend to cut the hair every single month or every 2 months..

Ok I have thin hair and a receeding hair line, I want that gone, what can I use to get thicker hair?

Alright so I'm 17 and I have terribly thin hair and I hate it. I have a slight receding hair line as well. I'd like to know what I can do about it, anything I can do to stop losing hair and get the thickest hair possible. And also I would like to know if there is anything to make my hair permanently straight? any suggestions, links to anything would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Ok I have thin hair and a receeding hair line, I want that gone, what can I use to get thicker hair?

wash your hair every day clean hair has more volume.don't use gels they will make your hair to heavy and flat you could try different volumenizers, to add body to your hair, daily washing is the best advice I can give you, with a clean scalp you might, after a while be have less of a hair loss

For those with fine thin hair ONLY?

My fine thin hair is even thinner than ever because I have a thinning hair problem and am being treated by a trichologist. He has me cleansing my scalp daily - which involves using the blow dryer and curling iron some daily too (not a long time though) to look human but it helps fluff it up and make it look better until the hairspray wears out quickly and back to yuck.

Anyway, if you have baby fine hair, do you have to wash every morning after sleeping on the mess? Just curious. Mine gets matted down and super soft on the sides that I sleep on - and I usually end up on all sides and back at some point in the night. I think my head may be sweating at night. My trichologist said that my skin and scalp are oily and that where normal people's dandruff flakes off, mine is trapping in the follicles and preventing thick hairs to grow back in. Thanks for your help.

For those with fine thin hair ONLY?

Hi, I meant to answer your other question but it was resolved before I was able to. Anyways, I have been following your questions and let me suggest two sites for you that has helped me tremendously. I understand what you have been going through, I am currently going through this myself.

Check out these support groups:

www.herhairlosshelp.com

www.longhaircommunity.com

HHL is the place where you will find all the support you need. Not everybody understands what you are going through right now. That is very understandable though. I would have felt the same way if I weren't going through this myself. Hope to see you there. Take care!!!

For those with fine thin hair ONLY?

I had think hair, but, never heard of your problem. It is not good for your hair to be washed every day. Try using a spray bottle with water and conditioner in it in the morning to get the kinks out. I started taking fish oil pills and got thick hair. Don't expect it to happen over night though.

For those with fine thin hair ONLY?

can't get any finer and thinner than mine! LOL

For those with fine thin hair ONLY?

You say that your Dr. advised you to use the blow dryer and curling iron??? that does not sound good for fine thinning hair. I can see if you hair is oily that the daily washings would be a must, but try letting the hair dry on its own, it will not take long, being fine and thin. As it dries on its own fluff it with your fingers. then spray...hope this helps

My hair is very thin and dry?

I'm 22 and have very dry, thin hair. I'm not on any medication and neither do I drink or smoke. I don't even blow-dry my hair or use too many products. I haven't even coloured all my hair....just a few highlights here and there. And, I eat as healthy as I can, too. I really don't know what to do about my problem. I've been living with this for at least 3 years. Even if I condition my hair, the hair feels moisturised only for that day.

I have some dandruff, too. Could that be the culprit?

My hair is very thin and dry?

Try a mosturizing dandruff shampoo and a volumizing conditioner.

My hair is very thin and dry?

sounds a bit like a thyroid problem. You dont say whether your skin is dry aswell or that your nails flake and break, if they do then ask your Doc for a thyroid test, tho you're young to have this problem.

My hair is very thin and dry?

I would suggest going to a dermatologist. They deal with the skin, and hair is an extension of the skin. They can find out if you have an hormone imbalance or if there is something else going on to cause this problem. You might want to consider coloring your hair, full head, that would give you alot more body and make your hair look better and make you feel better. A little damage to the hair and make it perform better. Drying it out a bit with coloring and then using good conditioners and styling products will make your hair feel and look better on a whole.

My hair is very thin and dry?

Hey what's Up? Well you could try to shampoo your hair, wash it out . Then put in a lil Olive oil. rub it into hair. Then rinse out. After you can apy shampoo again to not make it greasey.or you can just apply the cond. Cool. well It makes it shiny to. See Yeah

I have thin hair from dying it?

I have thin hair from dying it?

Need help, my hair is so thin!?

I've always had naturally thin hair, really thin. I've been wearing extentions for awhile but I'm getting really sick of having clips or wax pieces, or anything that holds the hair to my scalp on my head. Is there any other way to have thicker hair that doesn't involve extensions?

Need help, my hair is so thin!?

The cause for thinning hair can mostly be associated with diet. You are what you eat, they say. Make sure that you diet contains a lot of green leafy vegetables from now on. Eat a lot of proteins which means eating an egg every day. Get a lot of calcium into your diet too. I would advise you to buy Biotin 600mcg, Zinc, Magnesium and take this daily. Biotin can cause you to break out so if you experience any problems with your skin, bring the dose down a bit until you get to where you skin is confortable. Get some seaweed every day and snack on black sesame or natural sesame seeds. use hair food oil that contains no petroleum or mineral oil an do not blow dry your hair at all. make your own conditioner by mxing 1 egg, 1tbspn of honey, 1 tbspn lemon, 1tspn of olive oil and massage this onto you hair and scalp every week-end. Leave it in for 45mins and in 2 months you will start seeing your hair become thicker and stronger.

Need help, my hair is so thin!?

you can massage coconut oil on your hair and then leave it on over night. its supposed to kind of strengthen your hair Report It

Need help, my hair is so thin!?

just product and lots of patience. once you have had extensions it is hard to go back! try great lengths they are very comfortable and they last 4-6 months.

Need help, my hair is so thin!?

try these techniques:

-use a thickening shampoo such as Sunsilk Anti-flat or one that i find is great on my hair is L'Oreal Vive it makes my hair thick.

-blowdry you hair upside down, it sounds crazy but it actually works and makes your hair look fuller.

Need help, my hair is so thin!?

honey i've fought that problem all my life and my best advice, being a hairdresser, is for you to get a semi-short layer cut or a short bob works well also. liberate yourself to the fact that you'll never have long flowing hair and you'll be so much better for it. i'm 64 and it took me that long to learn this lesson.

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

i have very thin hair so want to increase its volume and is so dry .give some tips and i want to increase the length of my hair soon so what should i do?

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

Hmm, well to do both at the same time will be difficult. I used to cut my hair a lot when I was younger and they got thicker and thicker. The best way to get nice thick hair is to go to the hair stylist regularly and get the ends cut, so that they are healthy. That could help them get thicker too. It worked for me anyway. But if you want to have long hair soon, then that's going to be a problem. Unless you have a lot of money and get one of those hair lengthenings. But I don't know if that is very good for your hair.

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

if you go to selfridges in london they do extensions that you can put in yourself and will give you the colour sililial to yur own hair , try them my daughter has them and work wonders

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

each your multi vitamin daily..............like centrum.....

do hot oil massage once a week.

do not wash yor hair everyday.

use a voluminizer mousse before you blowdry your hair.

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

Try a shampoo and conditioner for thin or thinning hair. There is a product called Doo Gro that seems to help.

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

Extensions are the best way to go... my hair is normal but to my shoulders... I added 8 bundles of extensions to make it down to my but... and I get the most compliments on my hair

I have thin hair and short upto arm so help..?

Ok, I keek telling people this, take prenatal vitamins, you that should help with the growth and shine.

If you have thin hair, there's not much you can do. You can get extensions.

For dry hair you really need to invest in a good conditioner, not something from the grocery store, ask your stylist what she recomends.

"The Body Shop" sells a great shampoo and conditioner called "Hemp" it's very good for dry hair, they also have a hair mask for dry hair "Brazil Nut Hair Mask" apply it for 15 min. or overnight then shampoo it out. Great for dry hair.

Are you bleaching or flat ironing your hair? Stop! Its really bad for it, use a round brush and hair dryer instead or invest in a hot air curling iron. It has bristles on the barrel and you can use it like a blow drier.

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

I have grown it out "mid-lenght" because I am sick of it short. I am not that good at styling, but okay I guess.

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

blow dry your hair by flipping your head upside down.

or use a round brush and blow dry strands on top of your head starting from the roots, and blow dry from the underside up.

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

Try using Garnier Fructis volumizing shampoo and conditioner! I used to be that way until I started using it a year ago and haven't had that problem since! Good Luck!

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

Mabe you should use hair spray or go to your hair stylist if you have one.

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

This is easy buddy , trust me ,Im no hairdresser either.Basically get a fairly thick long comb.Gradually lift sections maybe 4-5 cms in width then lift a thin layer and tease underneath by combing into the crown with quick short strokes and then spray a little then release that piece of hair.Give it a go its great once you get the knack of it.Probably take ya about 3-4 attempts to get the sexy look full of volumr.

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

There are products for boulding body up in the hair to make it look fuller, start with a body building shampoo, spray on leave in conditioner, regular conditioner will make it flatter, Big Sexy Hair makes a product called RootBoost, u apply it to the roots before u blowdry to add volume, blow dry hair upside down, it adds fullness, if still not enough u can get a soft body wave with big rollers to add fullness, mousse is a good product to add volume, not gel it will weigh it down

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

wife said (shes a cosmetologist) to get a root booster/mouse apply to 80%damp hair starting at roots use big round brush and dry rest of hair to make hair fuller and thicker use nioxan for fine hair

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

Honey, I've had the same problem. Of course, blow drying upside down is a great way to boost volume, but it's short lived. Try something w/ long-term benefits like NIOXIN. It's a salon brand shampoo, conditioner, and endless style agents that actually help thicken your hair. Use the shampoo, conditoner, and leave-in scalp treatment for 3 weeks and you'll see a big difference. Wash, dry upside down, and go :)

We don't have to suffer with thin stringy locks, I promise!

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

Put some styling Mousse on your hands.

Then, pretend you're scratching your head with both hands REALLY fast.

This rubs it into your roots, giving your hair more volume!

Regards,

Noodle

My hair is very thin hair and I don't know how to make it "bigger"?

When you are showering, massage your scalp vigorously with your fingers flexed out like combs, moving quickly in opposite directions. Do your entire scalp like this for a few minutes and when you are done rinse your head in the coldest water you can stand. It gets easier each time and is a great way to wake yourself up in the morning.

No chemicals necessary.

I have really thin hair and the cause was I had a eating disorder...what can I do?

I'm 23 years old and I have really thin hair...I know why also but it doesn't seem to change. I use to be anorexic about 5 years ago and all my hair feel out in that process...I went to the doctors and he said that because of my disorder it's very hard to have the hair grow back but it will within time. It's been 5 years and I still don't see a change at all, and I feel really uncomfortable because it's so thin that it looks like I'm balding...I'm eating healthy now for a long time and have been taking vitamins like B12 and Calcium but still there is no difference. Is there anything else I can take or do to have my hair like it use to be? Please help...serious answers.

I have really thin hair and the cause was I had a eating disorder...what can I do?

Use Main and Tail Shampoo :D I used it when I thought my hair was thinning, it supposedly makes your hair grow longer, and thicker. Which I saw both when I used it. It is a horse shampoo, but it is the the Regular Shampoos at most stores, and even has human use instructions on the back. I recommend it ;). Im being completely serious. I love that stuff. It should help out some.

I have really thin hair and the cause was I had a eating disorder...what can I do?

you are doing all the right things. my hair is exteamly thin also but there is not to much else you can do. It is just how it is for now and hopefully it will grow in. good luck!!.

I have really thin hair and the cause was I had a eating disorder...what can I do?

This is definitely not normal. You need to see an endocrinologist and tell her/him the whole story. Have your thyroid, including TSH and antibodies, checked. If your thyroid is low and your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and/or antibodies are high, that can cause thinning hair, excessively dry skin, and low energy. Also other hormone problems can cause hair to fall out. It is not normal to have hair problems this long afterward. I had anorexia (involuntary, due to food allergy problems with vomiting and diarrhea) to the point of my skin turning yellow. I have been well for about a year now, and my skin and hair look good.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Hi, I'm from the UK and want some hair straighteners. I have heard so much debate about which ones are the best, and am not sure! I have researched which ones I like, and they are made by Remington or Babyliss. There are also ones made by Philips for Tresseme which look good. Many people say that GHD are the best, but I can't afford them and my mum was shocked at the price so I don't think i'll be able to get any for Christmas either.

Can people who have the Babyliss Pro 230 Elegance (the gold one), Babyliss 2085U Pro OR any of the Remington Professional ones like (Straight in a stroke or Damage Defence (S9000) or Protect and Shine Pro Slim 230 Ceramic (S2014), or Wet 2 Straight thin or wide) tell me which of these is the best? Also I think it depends on my hairtype. I have about shoulder length thin hair but lots of it! I think for thin hair it is better to get the thin straighteners, but it will take longer. With thick ones it will be quicker? What does everyone think? Many Thanks!

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

I haven't any experience of either of those brands, but I would recommend thin ones. I have similar hair to you, and find that they are a lot easier to control. I had thick ones before, but it was very difficult to manouvre them, especially around the back of the head. Because of this, I find thin ones a lot quicker. You can also use thin ones to put kinks and loose curls in your hair, with practise!

I have the Nicky Clarke tourmaline straighteners that are in argos for about 鎷?0, and have been very impressed with them, they work very well for the price. If you really want the GHD's though, why not see if you can get them as an early christmas present.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Remington are the best by far, Babyliss break all the time and they are not as hot when heated!

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

The best hair straightner i think is the ghd. Deffinitly worth the price. My first straightner was a Remington and lasted about 8months before my hair just started kinking instead of straightening and it just wouldnt last and would take my long thick hair 1hr and 30mins instead of 1hr that it usually would have taken. So I decided to splurge out and buy a ghd. I'll tell you that its the best thing i invested in. My hair will go straight almost straightaway, frizzy hair and fly aways are gone and it will last without going kinky. Also it cut my straightening time down from 1hr to 45mins. So deffinitly worth it. Maybe you could suggest going halfs with the price of it with your mum?! its deffinitly worth it. the Wet 2 Straight one is bad because using a heat around 180 degrees plus is TERRIBLE for your hair. I've heard that Babyliss are pretty good as well.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

get remington its the best i have it !

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Remington (Slim) every time. I have had Babyliss before, did not rate them.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

I have recently bought Babyliss Freedom straighteners for 鎷?2 from Littlewoods catalogue (they were on offer but were 鎷?2 originally). They heat up to 230 degrees, have a really long lead and a base so that you can move around if your socket is a long way from your mirror. I'm getting along really well with them. I had Remington before but they were a few years old so didn't get up to the heat that most do now. Couldn't really fault them except for the heat.

Which hair straightners are best (Remington or Babyliss?) Thin or thick?

Like the questioner I am buying straighteners. I think I am going to buy the Remington Pro Slim Ceramic 230 (S2014) unless anyone can tell me different. I think that the tin ones must be easier to use!!

I have thin hair need help?

I am about 21 years old and I am asian. I have thin hair which its hard for me to style. I usually cut my hair short and spike it up but I dont like it much cause you can see my scalp. I need a help what should I do with my thin hair. I need some kind of style any help?

I have thin hair need help?

blow dry it upside down after towl drying it slightly. *just to get the dripping water out*

make sure while your using the towl to do that upside down too and scrub everywhere with the towl....all in your roots and when you do the ends get a big amount of hair and just scrub back and forth with the towl *like when your making a fire with sticks* and hold your neck sideways while leaning over in an "L" shape.

yup...

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

Ever since she was born her hair was always thin..Now that she is older it seems as though it is breaking off,When I say thin..I mean very thin Even hair pieces dont stay in..I do know that It does run in the family..Even my other Daughter has it too?? But my boys dont..They were lucky with that..Any suggestions?? Thanks:)

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

Usually childrens' hair is usually thinner til they hit about age 5. Now when you mentioned her hair was so thin it was breaking off...you need to get all that breakage cut off. Alot of people want their little girls hair to grow but like anyone if you dont keep it trimmed it will not grow. It will split the ends and keep splitting up the hair shaft which causes the breakage. Once her hair because healthy by cleaning up those ends you will be surprise how much thicker it will appear. It will also help the hair grow faster.

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

I have always heard if you just trim the ends of it,it will make your hair stat to grow %26amp; thicken up. My mommy said that is what she did with my hair when I was little %26amp; I have thick hair now.

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

Cut 1 inches every 2 months

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

u must shave it for her now before its late , i used to have empty spots when i was 2 my mum said they shaved it for me twice now its thick

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

OK NO dont shave or cut there hair ther 3 give em more time to grow and if it's still thin take her to a doctor

Very, very thin hair in 3 year old?How to make it thinker?

Most children have baby-fine hair, and everyone loses about 150-250 strands daily. Make sure your daughter is eating well; deficiencies are usually the problem with children and often show themselves with hairfall. Consult a nutritionist/pediatrician.

It could also be clinical hairloss if her lashes, eyebrows, and other body hair is affected as well. Talk to your pediatrician for a diagnosis.

Does thin hair tend to be frizzier than thicker hair?

My hair is really thin, puffy, and frizzes. is it because it is thin or is it cause its cut straight across? nothng seems to work on it. I straighten it, but i dont want to do it too much. and curling doesnt stay it goes back to frizz.

Does thin hair tend to be frizzier than thicker hair?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Does thin hair tend to be frizzier than thicker hair?

my hair is really thick and its a frizz ball. i use this CHI de-frizz stuff that works really well. it comes in a little bottle and is kind of pricy but you use barely any each time and it always stops frizz

Does thin hair tend to be frizzier than thicker hair?

i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and if you have thin hair that becomes frizzy you need to put some product in it heres a tip use a product called beyond the zone turn up the heat it comes in a orange bottle and will work for all your hair ailments use it wet and dry just spay some on than flat iron make sure your flat iron has ceramic blades it works better. you will notice the difference in the first application and frizzy goes bye bye. it will last that way untill you shampoo again.

Does thin hair tend to be frizzier than thicker hair?

My hair is baby thin, and awfully frizzy. To my dismay it went curly at age thirteen and only got worse.

I have to use product to make mine work. I use mousse when I keep it curly. And a leave in conditioner when I straighten it.

Hope that helps.

Thin hair question??

I have very thin hair, that will only grow to right above my shoulders, and the front parts of it does not grow as fast as the back parts and it is hard to style because any product I try to use, makes it either look greasy or it gets to stiff

I have been trying to grow it longer all my life, and now I am starting to wonder if I should just get a cute short cut ?? any good suggestions on how to get it cut,

or anyone know a good website that will show new hair styles for short hair

thanks

Thin hair question??

!. you should ask your doctor about some of the prescription hair products available as they might help. Alternatively finde the best hair stylist you can afford and get an opinion. I'm talking someone like Frederick in New York City.

Thin hair question??

Use Mane N Tail

Thin hair question??

SInce u got thin hair, a cute short cut might looks better.

Thin hair question??

a short cut would be cute but you should also look into taking some vitamins or something. prenatal vitamins are really good for growing hair and nails. they won't harm you in any way, either.

Thin hair question??

keep the ends cut and use shampoo products that thickens your hair.

Thin hair question??

I just cut 10 inches off my hair and I had thin hair. The shorter you cut it the thicker it will be. I cut it to my shoulder and it is pretty thick.

Thin hair hell...?

I have thin hair and im only 30, im so embarrassed. Any advise?

Thin hair hell...?

Do you have thin hair, fine hair or a combination of both?

If you have thin / fine hair a short hairstyle would be best, try a length that falls about 2-3é–³?just above your shoulders. Do not layer your hair and if you have layers grow them out as layers thin your hair even more. Color and highlights may help as the color will blow open the cuticle layer of the hair shaft and give the hair the appearance of being thicker, however this may only be temporary as using a good shampoo and conditioner to protect your color will eventually lay the cuticle layer back down to seal the color into the hair.

I have recommend to my clients that they go to GNC and look for natural supplements for Hair, Skin and Nails. A lot have had success with these types of products.

Thinning hair however is a problem a lot of people are dealing withit, and it is really hard as a woman. For this I would recommend only Rogaine. Rogaine I believe is the only product approved by the FDA as proven to regrow hair. Please do not fall into the illusion that shampoos, conditioners or any of these so called hair thickeners or regrowers that are sold in salons work.

I am a male hairstylist that has thinning hair and I have tried them all.

Thin hair hell...?

try using some of the thickening shampoos that actuall;y coat hair and strengthen it...also keep it deep conditioned to ensure that you keep what you have healthy.

Thin hair hell...?

I have very fine baby thin hair. I am 31 and I've had it all my life. I've grown it out long but the only way it looked ok was in a pony tail. Which is how my hair always is. I've tried perms but my hair refuses them too. Short hair is an option if you have the right shaped face to pull it off. Short hair you can at least make it appear fuller. The longer you grow it out it begins to look stringy. I have had the hair extensions put in a few years ago. Those are great but very expensive and it's only temperary. Another thing you can do is get highlights-go with something that will give you the look of dimension. Hope this helps!!

What can i do for my thin, fine, alful hair?

i have very thin hair its genetic as my dad has it and my nan.

i never tie my hair back as it break easily and i have "larger than normal ears" which im self consious about

people say that a bob or short hair would suit me but i really want long hair its like my life time dream (sad i no) i had my hair cut short when i was younger to try and thicken it but it didnt work.

i have tried all different types of shampoo and conditioner and all sorts of hair products but its just hopeless.

my hair is also curly underneith but kinda straight on top, i would straighton my hair but that doesnt work either as my hair is thin, i cant even curl my hair it just doesnt hold. i died my hair "plum" but it was only semi-perminant so not to damage my already alful hair.

i just dont know what to do, its the worst hair ever im so jealous of others.

what do you suggest? please dont say a bob or short style as i think i would look odd (im a 14 year old girl)

What can i do for my thin, fine, alful hair?

braid your hair before you sleep. i have very fine hair and was told by almost everybody it would never grow long, it was just like yours. then an older woman told me to braid it before i go to sleep. only use hair ties, never a rubber band. fat ones are best. i have had hair down past my waist for years now. i cut it from below my bottom last time to just below shoulders several years ago and it has already grown to my waist again. THIS WORKS. i also use aussie-mega 3-minute miracle as a regular conditioner but mostly on the ends so it stays strong but won't weigh it down. whatever anyone else tells you may be good advice, and try their ideas but this WILL make your hair be longer and more manageable.i hate to give my age but, i'm 44, and i know all about life with hair like this. Good Luck. be happy!!!!

ps- don't use lemon juice!!! it will weaken your hair and turn it uneven colors.

What can i do for my thin, fine, alful hair?

My sister has very thin hair. She had great success with Cat Walk: All Sexed Up shampoo, conditioner and mouse. It's a bit pricy but it adds incredible volume.

What can i do for my thin, fine, alful hair?

I am a 13 year old girl who has really fine thin hair that i hate. My sister has thick hair, my other sister has thin hair but it is curly so it has more volume! Whenever i try to use more products on it, it just ends up weighing it back down again! Most of the time i have my hair up because i dance five days a week so i DO have alot of breakage! I try to use a good conditioner by GARNIER Fructis BODY AND VOLUME. it works well and i also wash my hair with JON FRIEDA brilliant brunette (the volumizing one) and use a mouse my sally when my hair is wet, then i blow dry it upside down and spray : HERBAL ESSENCES body evy. I have long hair but it still looks thin. I got my hair cut short about 6 month ago now it's all evened out because i had bangs; i just got some sortof like side bangs around my face and it looks alot better. I think your(our) best bet is to keep it long. Trust me i know what it is like. I turn my head upsidedown and quickly flip my head back up but it only stays big for not long enough. Some day i dream of my hair being thicker and looking prettier without having to do anything to it but i know i am born with my own hair and there is only so much i can do to it! Everyone is beautiful in their own way. You can make it work for you. Beauty is only someone elses idea of it! Good Luck! =]

What can i do for my thin, fine, alful hair?

u should use pantene or VO5. i had the same hair u had. if u have long hair cut ur hair sholder length so it would atleast look better. after u shampoo ur hair with those shampoos blow dry ur hair and if there is a knot in ur hair leave it there until ur hair dries also u shouldnt comb ur hair too much becuz i read in science tht when a comb goes through ur scalp over and over again t becomes weak and sensitivejust comb ur hair only in the morning and in the middle of the day when u mostly need it i used to have the same kind of hair u had becuz i have exzema on my scalp and my body so i did these things and it worked also, if u put almond oil on ur hair after u shampoo, it would help alot 2. bye

What can i do for my thin, fine, alful hair?

First, get a good volumizing shampoo and conditioner. The person who said Catwalk is right, they are really good!

Then use a VERY light gel, like a spray gel to give you something to work with!

Blowdry your hair UPSIDE DOWN and with a round thermal styling brush!

If you want to add some curl, spray some root lifter or light spray gel near the roots, and pull your hair in the opposite direction (so if you want the hair to fall to the back of your head, pull forward so you can get the most volume.

Use ONLY aerosol hairspray, its made for fine hair. Spray kinds are heavier and therefore will weigh your hair down.

You don't have to have short hair just because it is fine!

You could also get a body perm to give it some volume as well, that way you have the option of blowdrying it straight, or wearing it curly to give it some body!

I'd say don't dye it too much, you don't want breakage or dryness!

Good luck!

Hair Style Ideas for very thin hair and ovalish face?

I have dirty blonde hair that's fine/thin and at my shoulders. It's in layers a few iches shorter. I want change. i was thinking front that frame my face. The only problem is that I don't lnow how well this will work with such thin hair. Any ideas? (i don't wan tto go very short...i don't want Victoria Beckham hair.)

Hair Style Ideas for very thin hair and ovalish face?

hmm short styles would look best on you probably. with layers, and maybe some side bangs or yes.

i mean you dont have to go all brittany spears but you can still have it shorrt.

I have soft thin hair & short as well is there anyway i can get thicker & longer hair?

my hair stops right before it touches my shoulder and it is so thing...my mother has beautiful long hair like an indian we call her pochantas..but mine is short and i want it longer before i got a relaxer and when i used to straighten it my hair was much longer but now that is all just a memory! I have resulted to wearing weave ponytails because i want thick full hair but wearing to many ponytails is pulling my hair on the sides of my head causing it to thin even more! HELP! I would like to start taking care of my hair and i want longer thicker healthier hair

I have soft thin hair %26amp; short as well is there anyway i can get thicker %26amp; longer hair?

The only way that actually works for making your hair thick is to dye it, using permanant hair color. Any shampoo that says it will thicken your hair is just adding buildup that will weigh your hair down making it very dull and greasy looking. I know because I have very thin hair and I've tried many products, including salon and they never worked.

Hair color opens up the pores in your hair and then adds the color, but because it opens up the pores, this makes it look thicker. You can dye it in a similar color as your own hair or experiment a little. Or get another weave. Those are the only two, real sollutions for you.

As for length...time or a weave are your only options. But in the meantime you can buy shampoos that say they strengthen your hair, this will help it to stay healthy and you'll be able to grow it better because your hair won't be breaking off.

I have soft thin hair %26amp; short as well is there anyway i can get thicker %26amp; longer hair?

It is better to keep your hair all one length. Try Nioxin products and get your ends trimmed about once a month. Nioxin made my hair grow.

I have soft thin hair %26amp; short as well is there anyway i can get thicker %26amp; longer hair?

Formal Hairdo for Thin Hair??

I'm going to a Ball on Friday and have no clue how to do my hair! It is reddish blonde, thin, and a little past my shoulders. I don't know if an updo would work because my hair is thin and not very long! Plus...if I curl it...it will look short, and I don't want that either. Any suggestions? And maybe some pictures? Thanks!!

Formal Hairdo for Thin Hair??

Scarf around your head like a Vail.

Formal Hairdo for Thin Hair??

Do your hair like this just don't curl it sraighten it.

Formal Hairdo for Thin Hair??

Use volumizer while your hair is still wet. Love Matrix Vavoom. And then use a big round brush to blowdry. You will have so much volume and body you wont even know what to do. Try the Vavoom and then play with your hair. It is so much fun when your hair is naturally thin.

Formal Hairdo for Thin Hair??

i have to go to a military ball too.. why dont you just do a classy french twist?

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

I have long hair, about 6 inches below my shoulders, it is slightly layered and only the ends are wavy. when i straighten it my hair gets veryyy thin. I was wondering if there was a really good straightener out there that straightens ur hair, but doesnt make it thin and damaged? btw i have a gold n' hot straightener, and it works really well, and i think its about 2 1/2 inches thick, or maybe 3.

any help?!

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

For thin, you need a straightener that allows you to adjust temperature. Some flat irons only have fixed temperature, they may burn your hair. Her is a list of flat irons with temperature control:

Sedu, Solia, CHI Turbo, T3, HAI.

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

if its making your hair thin then i would just stop straightenening it, because my friend has teh same problem and the ends of her hair are actually falling out..

no straighteners are particularly 'good' for your hair!

why don't you just do the natural wavy look, it looks so undone thats its nice :)

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

Sorry hun but if your hair is thin then there is no way for the straightener to make it look fuller, you may want to try curling out your layers, this might help it to look a little more full, or you can even try teasing it a little in spots that particularly look thin.

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

I agree with smarsbar. If your hair is already thin, processes like color and straightening will only make it worse.

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

Yes me too

DONT straighten your hair just use good conditioning and creams for your hair and cut a feww inches at the split ends formed by straightening.

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

GHD's are really good on thin hair, as long as you use protecting spray on it, it will be fine.

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

for thin hair i wouldnt suggest a flat iron its better to use the blowdryer and a special straightening brush. less damage that way.

Best hair straighteners for thin hair?

conairs are really good

Thin hair & Straightening problems?

I have always had thin hair, but lately my hair is getting dry and even breaking off. I am pretty sure its because I straighten it everyday, any way I can make my hair healthier and still be able to straighten it daily?

Thin hair %26amp; Straightening problems?

(1) Slap on loads of heat protection spray when straightening your hair

(2) Wash your hair semi regularly (i know it sounds skanky but too much washing removes all of the natural oils which naturally condition your hair)

(3) Treat yourself to intensive hair conditioner once a week, or try massaging your hair with olive oil and leaving in for an hour or so (wrap in a towel for the hour before washing)

(4) Get plenty of water and fruit/veg down you, and also some cod liver oil supplements for healthy hair (this last point is optional though!)

Thin hair %26amp; Straightening problems?

I would get a protein drops for your hair. And yes straitening it will kill it. Do it every other day, or straiten every other day. And they do have product that will help straiten your hair without a straiten. It is pricey, but it will put some health back in your hair.

Thin hair %26amp; Straightening problems?

Sounds exactly like me! I got this shampoo and conditioner from Great Clips about a month ago and I reallllly love it. The brand is Nioxin. They use it for Cancer patients who are loosing hair! I would try that. It was kind of expensive, like $15 for each big bottle. (I don't know the size.) Also, are you using a good straightner? It would be worth it to invest in a Chi straightner. I got mine and Beauty Brands and I really like it. Use leave in conditioner every day too, it's all about the moisture! I Hate when people say this to me, and I 'm sure you've heard it before........ but have you thought about leaving it curly/wavy? I hate my hair when I don't straighten it, but everyone around always loves it! Same thing with all my friends who have curly hair. Maybe you could leave it curly a couple days of the week! Best of luckj!

Thin hair %26amp; Straightening problems?

how about go to a beauty salon and wash your hair then shape it up. then try getting a new straighten iron and straighten it every other day. sometimes you can blow dry your hair straight if it is not too curly.

Thin hair %26amp; Straightening problems?

Get a chi flat iron or a babyliss. I don't know anyone who straightens daily and has good hair. Nioxin sucks, try Nexxus, at least stick to professional products. And remember conditioners keep it from getting worse and Deep re-constructors help repair the hair. And always read directions

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

some thing yjsy smells good and will make my hair at least appear to hav more volume.

if it helps my hair is wavy?curly thought durrign the school year i streighten it. (i know itsbad but it looks way bettter)

p.s. when i say i have thin hair i mean it its pretty darn thin (not liek a old ladys or anything though)

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

finesse, i have thin hair, and it totally worked for me.

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

I use pantine pro v 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner it really depends on what kind of hair u have oily or dry thins or thick color or plain

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

DOn't use to much conditioner, and get aussie shampoo volumizing shampoo or just go to a hair place and tell them you want shorter layers on the top so that it adds more volume to your hair

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

Something I've taken notice of is when I don't use conditioner no hair falls out, when I do, clumps of hair falls out, no matter what type of conditioner, so don't use any and spare your hair. I like head and shoulders shampoo.

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

I use Pantene. It works well!

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

Well I tried the sun-silk anti flat shampoo and conditioner. I also used the anti flat gel, just don't use too much because it looks greasy but it really works. Also blow dry your hair upside down and use a spin brush to pull your hair up as you blow dry.

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

try pantene or vidal sassoon, you'll get smooth, shiny and volume hair and I can tell it works for me and for you too, good luck

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

Try Infusium leave in hair conditioner. It puts a coat on your hair and will give it volume and when you straighten it, the iron won't damage the hair you do have.

Also, thinning the hair when its thin with layers or thinning shears will also create volume. I know that sounds weird but it really works. I kid around with one of my best girlfriends about her thinning hair. I tell her that she's got only one hair to style.

Creating bangs with layers and creating layers thruout the hair actually increase volume. The same applies to using thinning shears. (should only be used once every couple of times you get a trim though)

Hope this helps:o)

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

I have been helping people with thinning hair for a long time and I am here to help you, however you must help yourself and be dedicated to yourself. I have a salon and I use a product called Nioxin and this product is well known to help people with thinning hair. It isn't cheap but it does work. How does it work?

Nioxin is not a shampoo/conditioner, for hair it is a skin care treatment program for the scalp. The only difference between the skin under your hair and on your face is a hairline, however, we don't spray hairspray, gel, or any other hair care product on our face and go to bed in it, like we do our hair. When we do, we cause our hair follicles to become clogged and in turn it doens't allow the hair to grow to it full potential in diameter. In other words we starve our hair. I assure you if you stop eating and didn't get the nutrients you needed eventually you would die, and this is what is happening to your hair. What Nioxin does is go in there and cleans out all that dirt and debri from you hair follicles and then adds a protections from future pollutents, such as dirt, debri, smoke, smog, and anything else your hair decideds to absorb and carry down into the follicles. It also nourishes the hair, ie feeds it so that it can cause it to gain the mature diameter it is suppose to have, meaning it gets thicker and healther. I can assure you if you got on a regime of Nioxin and stuck to it, your hair would in less than four months be thicker than it has ever been. and the longer you use it the healther it will become.

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

anything that says volume or body in the title.

Hair shampoos and conditioner for thin hair.?

if your hair is color treated go for color me happy from the new herbal essences line.

OTHERWISE go for dangerously straight or body envy depending on what you're going for.

here are my tips:

-blow dry your hair, it's better than straightening and still can get it straight

-if you still want more straight to your hair, there's a dangerously straight hairspray that i used and it worked well

-use less conditioner, it will weigh down thin hair.

-rinse out conditioner as much as you can. leftover conditioner=greasy.

My hair is very thin?

i hav thin hair. when i wet my hair i can see my scalp . i want to make my hair dense. i also tried shaving my head. after that too my hair has become thin. pls suggest me a nature cure or some other remedy

My hair is very thin?

Do you know why you have thinning hair? Is it because you are naturally thinning at your age? Are you hypothyroid? Are you on chemo?

You can try a product like Rogaine to actually try to grow more hair. You can also have hair weaving or plug transplants done but both are expensive.

Or you can just accept it. Baldness is really quite sexy.

Whatever you do, please do not grow it long on one side and then comb it over on the top. Or just as bad, grow what's left long and wear it in a ponytail. Both of those just emphasize the situation drawing people's attention to your head with thoughts that aren't complimentary.

My hair is very thin?

Eat more rice.

My hair is very thin?

i hav heard of people saying cutting your hair always will make it thick...but dont shave it... just trim it a little every time...

My hair is very thin?

use pantine it's very very very good

My hair is very thin?

try rogain, although thinning hair can be sexy...

My hair is very thin?

Shaving your head will not make your head thicker.

See http://www.hairfinder.com/hair/shaving-h...

My hair is very thin?

have u occured hair fall?

My hair is very thin?

Wash it with any shampoo and apply egg white and wear a shower cap for like whole morning, rinse without shampoo and apply moisturiser. Do not blow dry, leave to dry naturally... Do this.. and see for yourself. repeat like once or more everyweek. Its cheap and results guaranteed. Grows hair too.

My hair is very thin?

My Boyfriend also have thinning hair. I've been a hair stylist for about 5 years and all of the men I have seen that had the same problem I suggested them to use the brand [Nioxin] just about all of the men that used it every time they washed their hair saw an 80% increase in thinkness. It is about $40 for the kit... however a little goes a long way and your cant put a price on baldness. Try it!!

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

I have long straight thin hair, and don't know what to do with it. Will hair extensions make my hair look thicker? Is just wash and go and looks great? Are hair extensions waht people call tracks in your hair? What should I do with my hair?!!

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

Hi, Extensions are a fantastic way to make thin hair thicker! I wear them, and love them.... but, and it is a BIG BUT!

Make sure you get the good quality hair! it needs to say REMY CUTICLE HAIR not 100% human hair there is a big difference...

Remy hair is not chemically treated, it is the same as the hair on your head, all of the cuticle is going the same direction, and it is not usually colored or straightened.

When it says human hair... it is usually Asian hair, that has been bleached and colored, sometimes permed, and no guarantees the cuticle is even on the hair.... this hair will tangle BADLY!!!

so spend a little money on them... you do get what you pay for...

also I recommend going to a salon and having them done... they know what they are doing, and will help you get the look you want, and do it correctly.....

ask for references, and before and after pictures.... take in a picture of what you want! but remember they are stylists not magicians : )

extensions, if treated properly, and if you use high quality hair, can last 6 months to 1 year. I am going on 8 months now with my hair!

another neat thing to do with extensions is you can make it look like you have highlights, without adding the damage bleach would add to your hair, ask your stylist about it!

hope this helped, if you have any more ?? feel free to message me!

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

If you dont want hair breakage, i have the solution. Hairlocs. they a do not damage your hair, and look great. In fact they are designed for people with thin hair, and can add alot of thickness. They use only the best full cuticle hair, and last for a year with salon appointments ever 3 months. Report It

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

Not really! they can only tie in the extensions to existing hair. if you have fine hair it might look thinner, (fewer extensions)

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

Yea, If you sew in some extention tracks, it'll make your hair appear thicker if its done right. A lot of celebrities like Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, and Britney Spears resort to extentions to make their hair appear thicker and longer.

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

I have avoided hair extensions because I have heard from friends that it breaks your hair. A few have ended up having to cut the damaged ends, in some cases to drastic short lengths, but consult with a hair stylist who may give you tips on protecting your hair.

As for me, I use a layered hairstyle to give my own long, thin, straight hair more body.

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

I have medium to thick hair I've had exstensions and yes there called trackes there are numerous ways to put them in sowing weaving glue etc I had them weave mine befor you go to bed make sure they are completly dry any ways my hair was soooooo thin when she took them out I couldnt believe it I will never get them again just letting you know that if you aleready have thin hair then you might always want to have them in some people only where them in certain places of there head like the crown area, They are alot of work if you have your whole head done and the only way that I would ever get them again is fusion and it cost alot like 800 1000 they individualy fuse them to little pieces of hair a t one time but they look better then the tracks hope this help

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

As a favor to a coworker, I spent three hours pulling those out of someones hair the other day. What a pain in the ***. They will make thin hair look thicker but what a lot of trouble. You have to come in every couple of weeks to have them separated because they get stuck together. Some stylists won't tell you this but for best care you aren't supposed to use a hairdryer. If they are put in poorly they hurt. And up close they really don't look all that great. I could go on. I don't know though if individual extensions are refered to as tracks.

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

yes.

My thin hair?

dont straigten your hair anymore. it ruins the hair cause of the heat. Use patene shampoo, at least once a week. blow dry your hair. It will get better over time.

hope this hlps! :)

My thin hair?

To treat your hair apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

My thin hair?

stop abusing it !there are some vitamins you can take and shampoos that claim thickening but they will only work on new hair growth check to see if its coming from your scalp if so try some rogain.good luck

My thin hair?

Have you had your thyroid checked? From what I understand, thyroid and/or stress can cause your hair to fall out (I know because mine has gotten thinner, too). There are mouses at the beauty shop that are supposed to thicken the hair shaft, but they're expensive. My hair usually looks thicker when I get it layered and perms usually make my hair look thicker, but check with your hairdresser to see what he/she recommends.

My thin hair?

You are born with a certain number of hair follicles. This will not change over your lifetime. I would suggest several things....fake hair "clip -ins" are affordable and so mainstream these days. These provide volume while blending in.

Also, weaves are growing in popularity. If you can take the pain, they last longer, look natural and provide thickness to otherwise thin hair.

Also? Layers can be a big volume booster. Maybe consider having some cut into your hair.

Other alternatives would be teasing the hair, or to use volumizing products.

Another tip:When you condition, try using a lighter conditioner. this hair gets weighed down easily. I suggest Dove Conditioner. It softens/conditions, but it does it weightlessly.

My thin hair?

I dont' know that anything can bring back the hair you once had. Things change with your body all the time.

I (thankfully) have a good amount of hair but it's all very fine so it doesn't want to do much. I've discovered a thickening spray by Graham Webb called "Thick Infusion" that works well to add volume. I get it from Ulta. I use it lightly at the roots before blow-drying upside-down. You can't go too heavy with it or your hair will feel a little weird. Another good tip that works for me is not conditioning all the way down to the roots, just smoothing it over the last third of my hair and rinsing off immediately.

A very layered cut will also help beef up thin hair.

My thin hair?

Goodness, girl! I wish I had thinner hair. My hair is as thick as you can get. (We're talking having three pony tail holders wrapped around my hair just so my "do" will stay in place) But just as I have to deal with the thickness, you can deal with your hair's thinness!

First of all, remember that you're already beautiful and you don't need the world's criticism to define you.

I would get multiple layers put in next time you get your hair cut, so it just isn't "hanging there" looking boring. Thin hair does tend to like a little stringy, but if you get layers, it'll jazz it up a little. Even though it is expensive, I'd talk to your hair stylist about getting a "volume enhancing" spray. Every day after you have showered you just spray the product into your roots.

Good luck. I hope my advice helped you!

Best hair styles for an oval/round face with thin hair?

As of right now I have pretty long hair, my hairs reach about to the end of my shoulder blades. Very baby fine hair that is naturally light brown with copper %26amp; blonde highlights recently done.... it has 3 layers at the ends only %26amp; goes to a V- shape on my back. I of course have a oval/rounded face. Whats is the best ideas/hair styles for my type of situation? (prefer to go anywhere with this, short to medium length, color change(%26amp; i have baby fine/thin hairs)

Best hair styles for an oval/round face with thin hair?

I went to beauty school with a girl who had this hair.We where told it is actually one of the better types to work with.Oval faces are the most versatile.I like the cut you described that you have now but in your picture it doesn't look like you really do allot with it.You need to add volume at your roots and mix up the part with that zigzag thing and use a finishing product that gives your hair a sleek shine. If you don't know how to use one of those ball brushes make an appointment with a stylist for a lesson. They are always happy to help someone with enthusiasm for great hair.

Best hair styles for an oval/round face with thin hair?

since it makes a v in the back u could get that trimmed so it doesnt do that anymore. then u can put your hair in buns, ponytails, braids, etc etc

Best hair styles for an oval/round face with thin hair?

do a messy bun.

or a half pony.

Emo hairstyle, thin hair, black hair... but the question is how to cut the sides?

I need to cut the sides off my hair... but I don't want my ears to show... and I don't want to look like a beetle (which I do end up looking like sometimes cause my hair curls over my ears haha.... even when I straighten my hair... I don't have the straightener on a very high setting because thin hair can damage easily)... advice... and I always straighten my hair and use garnier fructis conditioner and shampoo.... do not discriminate against emo's or so that's what people say I am... alternative is the proper term haha

Emo hairstyle, thin hair, black hair... but the question is how to cut the sides?

do it very jagged it workes so wellll

Emo hairstyle, thin hair, black hair... but the question is how to cut the sides?

feather the side burns and go to a salon for some serious straighteners

I have Naturally Thin Hair .. have some paranoid questions..?

I have naturally thin hair, with light over it I can see my scalp. I remember it being this way my whole life. It seems to be thin on the sides as well, I am pretty sure its equally thin.

Is this a sign of potential hair loss? I know I should see a doctor but until I initiate that I'd really need to get some things straight.

Should I ask for procepia treatment? I heard people's hair improves after 2 years, and am wondering if the results are permanent or temporary.

What can I do to make sure my hair remains healthy? I only have one body and I want to keep it in peak shape. Thanks.

I have Naturally Thin Hair .. have some paranoid questions..?

I've had thin hair all my life..now you Can see my scalp through my hair, so I can cut it and comb it so its not obvious.

You did not say whether you were a male or female.

You can try conditioners that add body to your hair.

Some women like bald.

Hair syles for thin hair?

I looked up other topics of people who were aasking for hair styles. But I went threw the sites and all the styles I see are for people with thick hair. My hair is thin, I can't layer it. I cant do anything. I dye it alot, and it is parted threw the middle. I was wondering if there is any hair style or way I can make it look better/thicker.

Hair syles for thin hair?

itll also look cute in a high ponytail

Thin hair and hair loss?

I have had very thin hair all my life (which hasn't been long). I am starting to bald in the back of my head. As a young woman, this is very embarrassing, not to mention what it does to my self esteem. What can I do to help this?

Thin hair and hair loss?

You might have what they call aloepsia. That's where you have bald patches or your hair falls out in spotty areas. That can be caused by stress, a bacteria in the follicle, a skin condition. or a vitamin deficiency. It's best to go to your Dr. and he can tell you if you have any of these symptoms. He can test you and give you the medication or medicated shampoo to help with your hair. Don't pull your hair in a pony tail either. It will cause breakage and make your hair look thinner.

Thin hair and hair loss?

You could start by checking with your doctor to see if there are any underlying conditions that might cause the hair loss. Sometimes hypothyroidism causes hair loss, a simple blood check can determing the levels of TSH and whether you are a candidate for treatment.

Heredity might have something to do with your hairloss too.

My mother in law is using rogaine for women with great success, but the only problem that I see in that is that you have to continue using rogaine, you can't quit.

I'm 40, and I feel very lucky to have a full head of hair still, so I don't know what you're going through, but I can tell you that there are options available to you.

You should start with your doctor first. Share your concerns.

Good luck!

Thin hair and hair loss?

see lf you can find a hair specialist cause lm having the same problem to and l have an overactive thyroid.

Thin hair and hair loss?

Get it checked with your doctor. About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

I have thin hair that curls when long. What is the best way to keep it straight? Other hair tips are

My hair is almost shoulder length, but after I wash it and it is dry, the hair is really thin and curls outward. I've tried a flat iron and it doesn't have much of an effect. I love my long hair, but I have no idea what the best way to manage long hair is. Any advice about maintaining nice-looking long hair would be appreciated.

I have thin hair that curls when long. What is the best way to keep it straight? Other hair tips are welcome.?

you could do a chemical straitning but if you have any damage to your hair i wouldnt recommend. what's happening is yoru hair is to lightweight you need a product which will weigh it down. mousse being the most economical, you have a few options a stylist would be able totell you some recent and less sticky solutions. i really like smooth n shine whcich is a silicone based hair smoother which is great with a flat iron and it weighs the hair down pretty well ..hope that helps a little

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

1) Would getting my hair chemically straightened make my already thin hair fallout? What are the effects on straightening thin hair?

2) Name some really good tps and/or products that volumize hair.

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

Getting your hair straightened chemically will destroy it if it is already thin.. I suggest that you don't do it.

and to get mor volume you have alot of products to use such as Taft, Sunsilk spray which is made to give the hair more volume

try diffrent products brands and choose the one that is good for you..

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

Thank you I just wanted to help you. I am glad for you :) Report It

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

1) Yes, it will probably make it worse, plus it will look dull because of the breakage.

2) I suggest you look around the Lush store. They have a product called BIG Shampoo that is supposed to work wonders. You could also try dying your hair with Henna. Henna is a vegetable dye that gives your hair more thickness, does not damage it at all, and adds incredible shine. The Lush store has good Henna, so I suggest you check it out carefully because Henna is a little messy and you need to get every step right.

Questions concerning thin hair.............?

1) Its a well known fact that chemicals do effect the place you apply

2) Try to eat protein and vitamin rich food

3) headmassage and oiling your hair 2ce a week is cumpulsary for good hair

4) Do not apply chemicals .use natural products like henna , amla shikhakai, retha , egg , yoghurt etc

Pics of how thin hair looks layered?

anybody have pics of thin hair that got layered? i have thin, fine, slippery smooth hair that wont stay in anything, but anyway thats a diff story, i am very seriously thinking about layering my hair, but i need proof that it will work with my type of thin hair b4 my mom will let me do it. PLZ help me!

Pics of how thin hair looks layered?

I don't have pics but I have the same issue with my hair being thin, flat, and fine. I did get my hair layered and it does give your hair more body. I have short layers starting from the crown of my head then longer towards my shoulder length hair. It also helps to use volumizing products. I use ganier fructis body %26amp; volume shampoo and no conditioner b/c it weighs fine hair down. When I blow dry I use a root lifting mousse and with my hair almost dry I spray a spray wax then finish drying. This help set the hair for styling then a light mist of hair spray will hold pretty good. The spray wax also is nice b/c if you find your hair went flat you can just fluff it and bring back some body without having a ton of stiff hair spray to deal with. I hope this has help in anyway. If I had pics I'd send them, sorry that I don't.

Pics of how thin hair looks layered?

I have thin hair and i have layers. I usually tell my stylist to not give me those heavy layers so that the bottom of my hair doesnt look all gone. It looks good if you take good care of it. Also try light weight voluminizing shampoos, that really helps put in a lil volume to my flat hair.

Pics of how thin hair looks layered?

Actually, layering your hair type will make it look even thinner and finer. What I would do is go to a salon and ask the hairdresser what styles are good for your hair type. She would be able to guide you and probably show you pics of different hairstlyes for what you have.

Really Thin Hair????

I used to have thick hair on my head and in this past month, it has become really thin due to lots of hair loss.

What's causing this? How can I stop it? Will my hair grow back?

Really Thin Hair????

Medications can make your hair come out --disease can also make it come out- If you are stressed out about something that can cause it to fall out also. Normally you should lose 150 hairs per day and they do replace themselves. If you have something wrong in your body this may not happen-- I would suggest you see dermatologist and they can check and find the reason for your hair loss- Eat a good diet with lots of protein and take a good multiple vitamin every day. Trying to be too thin and not eating properly affects your hair and causes it to fall out. Your body is like a car--It has to have the right food like a car has to have the right fuel to make it operate properly--so feed your body the right nutrients and I bet your hair comes back.

Really Thin Hair????

how old are u?

Really Thin Hair????

maybe its due to alot of stress?

Really Thin Hair????

i like your avatar. haha

well my sister had a lot of hair loss because when she took showers, she rubbed conditioner into her roots . they say that you're only supposed to rub the ends. once she did that it pretty much went away.

um i hope that was it =]

Really Thin Hair????

Do you color your hair lots? Well it's probably that.

Really Thin Hair????

Okay I have the same problem, and I've talked to doctors and other professionals

here are the causes

-stress

-not eating properly

-not enough proteine

-natural shedding

i've heard that you can take folic acid tablets, however I'm unaware of their side effects, and until I am, I'd rather not take them.

Really Thin Hair????

Maybe it the hair loss is caused by stress or by some medication you are taking. It could also be a sign that you may be sick. Perhaps you should see a doctor about it.

Really Thin Hair????

do you straughten your hair?

Really Thin Hair????

maybe if you changed a hair product or like the above stress have you dyed your hair? that could be something too ....
