I have very thin hair on top, what do you think about hair transplantation?

Ok i have tried Rogaine for women, I have tried some shampoo, i have tried medicine, and i have tried some makeup hair thing (to make your hair look thicker).I am tired of these things...it's uncomfortable to be a female and have this problem..I have really thin hair on the top...back is totally full...Is hair transplantation the most effective to the point method?...I know it's expensive..anyone had it done and can give me a rough estimate how much this costs or how the procedure is "actually" done...I appreciate your advice..Thanks

Hit There,

You're in luck. I had a Bosley hair transplantation surgery done back in July. I thought my procedure was a huge success. Since receiving the procedure I have kept a blog called BattleAgainstBald.com. The blog details the results of my Bosley hair transplantation and I also provide a wealth of information on hair loss and the other methods used to correct it.

Additionally, the blog has a whole section on female hair loss and tips for women interested in hair restoration.

I encourage you to check out BattleAgainstBald.com, as I'm sure the information there can answer a lot, if not all of your questions.

Best of luck!

-Seth

It works if you can afford it.

What is your condition? If its female hairloss theres really nothing you can do. Im not trying to be mean because I am a hairstlist an I just happen to be going through alopecia areata. I know that its hard and since Im a black girl I decided to go natural to hide my bald spots(i have about 11). Rogaine may not work for you but dont give up. Try nioxine ask your stylist about it because thats what Im about to try. Ive heard good reviews about it.

Minoxidil for Women: One of the hair loss drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration is Minoxidil. It should be applied to the scalp to regenerate new hair growth. It does not prevent hair loss, just causes new hair to grow. Minoxidil solution is sold in 2 versions: 2% and 5% solution. The 2% solution can be used by both men and women, while 5% is only for men.
