my hair strands are very thick, as in very very thick...

they told me its because i use shampoo 3 times a day which is so bad for my hair....

Well if it's your actual hair that is thick you can't do anything to change it. If it's a build up of products then you can use a clarifying shampoo to remove the build up. You can also use a little baking soda mixed into your regular shampoo to remove build up. In the long run I would cut down on the number of shampoos you do in a day. Really you should only shampoo once a day. If you shampoo too much you take all the natural oils out of your hair and make it really dull. this will also make your hair more oily because it's trying to over compinsate for all the shampoo,
