My hair is thin, and falling out due to stress. Does anyone have any good ways to help stop this hap

My hair is already thin, but I have a lot of work stress which makes my hair fall out at the root. Stress from my hair falling out just makes more fall out. I'm taking a multi-vitamin and trying to eat right, I excercise and meditate and do yoga. But it's not stopping, and I'm growing small bald spots. I really need help.

Sounds like Alopecia. I had this before, and sadly the only way it went away was when my stress trigger moved away. Check out the 2 links below. I hope those help you.

Hate to break it to you but i recentley read that they did a study about hair loss and it is not caused by stress it is just hereditary so you should try rogain or any of that other stuff

However, if your general stress and work stress are getting to you, those aren't helping your health either. There are several very popular herbs and natural products that can help with stress and relaxation naturally. The most popular things for general relaxation are Valerian, Chamomile, and Hops.... but some people actually wake up when they take these and are just very relaxed.

There are also some supplements that can help with stress and relaxation if you wanted natural help for that. There is St. John's Wart, SAMe, some B-Vitamins, GABA, Ashwagandha, and L-Theanine.

Tina T is right. It is a condition that occurs in 2% of the population. Alopecia areata starts abruptly with one or more circular bald patches,up to 3 inches across, that may overlap. These bald areas are smooth and painless. The cause of alopecia is unknown. Factors may include stress, family predisposition, and autoimmune reactions to your own hair follicles.

In 90% of the cases, the hair grows back within 6 to 24 months. The outcome is worse if the episode occurs early in the life or if you lose all scalp hair in a single episode.

To diagnoise alopecia areata, your physician will perform a complete medical history and examination. Tests may be necessary, if an underlying disorder might be the cause.

TREATMENT:

Will depend on curing or controlling any underlying condition, if one exists. Your physician may suggest various techniques to make hair grow.

Its your hormones. We are no longer getting enough phytosterols in our diet, which are a plant hormone that feeds our own hormonal system. These phytosterols are converted to DHEA, your youth hormone. Unfortunately, smoking cigarettes depletes major food molecules needed to defend against aging and disease.

So, if you are not smoking, then that's one less thing to worry about.

You need to support the immune system, the defense system and the endocrine system.

What vitamin/minerals are you taking? The main cause of public porta potties being clogged are from Centrum vitamin/minerals. They are rocks and are not recognized by the cell. They are not absorbed and poison your liver and kidneys which are organs that are connected to your hormonal system.

Message me for more information on what I would recommend for you, and once you do your homework, then decide. By the time I'm done educating people and they are on the right track, their hair grows right back. Even if its as extreme as Alopecia.

Try the herb Valerian Root. It relaxes the body without making you sleepy or sluggish.

My boyfriend had the same problem as you. When you looked at the top of his head, you could see his scalp. He was freaking out. He started drinking MonaVie juice - which contains the acai berry - the highest known antioxidant on the planet. Because our hair receives nutrition AFTER our entire body, if we aren't getting good nutrition, our body takes everything it can get, and our hair isn't getting anything. So, by drinking MonaVie, my boyfriend increased his nutritional content so much that his hair started growing back like wildfire. He now has THICK, lustruous, black hair. Before, you could see his scalp. For more info, check out the website below:

It sounds to me like your body is having trouble with connective tissue. One really good thing you could do is start taking blue green algae, this will improve your bone marrow which increases your bodies ability to regenerate, hence, your hair will become closer to the way it was when you were younger.

Another thing you could do is start taking large amounts of MSM. MSM is a sulfur compound that thickens hair skin and nails, and it really does a good job at doing this. Take at least a teaspoon of MSM powder to expect powerful results. The more you take, the more it will thicken your hair.

To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Hi Amy - The best advice is to go see your doctor IMMEDIATELY! I'm not trying to scare you, just trying to get you to go to a medical professional. Stress can cause hair loss but probably not to the extreme of bald spots. Everyone here really wants to help you but if you are at the point of bald spots you really need to see a doctor for professional advice. I totally believe in herbs and vitamins, but if you are at this extreme please go see a doctor, this could be more then just stress and the sooner you get help the sooner you can grow your hair back!

Also, we all understand stress and the terrible effects of it on your body. Reality is you can't always get away from the stress (e.g. sick parent). But, do what you can to take care of yourself. If your stress is caused by something you can get away from (e.g. bad boyfriend) then get that out of your life, have the strength and courage to do what you need to do to help yourself. We have to be our own advocates and really take care of ourselves. In the end remember, do not sacrifice your health over stress, get massage, have "you time", do whatever you need to do to give yourself a break. Good luck and please see a medical professional, don閳ユ獩 wait!

hey,

I'm having the same sort of problem but I've been having seizures for the last 3 years and I take a boat load of meds. I haven't really had a chance to ask anyone why my hair is like that because every time I go back in they keep adding on to my meds and so I never get adjusted to one.. I'm always stressed out. But I try to eat well...when I do eat...lol. and work out when I'm not too sick....I hope you find a way to grow you hair back and get things back to normal real soon. good luck to you. I'm sorry I wasn't any real help. but I just wanted to tell you I know what you're going through.... Hang in there ok. it's gonna get better. Have a great day!

something else is going on. you don't say how old you are , but your thyroid may not be right. Get a test, incl. for wilson's syndrome. and, start looking for a less stressful job situation; stress kills!
