I am 16 and since I was 14, I have had really thin hair. In the sunlight, the whole of my scalp can be seen. Went for a blood test and doc said everything normal.
My hair is really weid, the hair in front of my head really thick, but the top of the head that really thin hair as it the sides.
Could this be male pattern baldness?
Going to see a dermatologist 11 Dec, hopefully they can give me an answer.
Thin Hair Can see scalp?
It could well be male pattern baldness. It does affect some people from a very early age, and can stay like it is now for some time, before progressing later on in life.
If it does turn out to be male pattern baldness, then I would suggest speaking to a doctor about treatments that are actually medically proven to be effective. I think at the moment, Rogaine and Propecia are the only treatments that have actually been proven to be effective. All of the others are basically just there for you to waste your money on.
